Personal trainer in Budapest · Sun Palace, Óbuda
Every set has a reason.
Assessment, a measurable plan and continuous tracking – that’s how training turns into results. I’ve been a personal trainer in Budapest for more than 10 years, working mainly on muscle building, strength and fat loss.

Approach
Training on its own is not the result. The result is what it turns into.
Many people train for years without getting the results they expect from the time and energy they put in. You don’t necessarily need more training – you need to use the time and energy you have the right way.
Working together, we don’t just do one exercise after another. We look for what works for you – and I keep up with the latest sports-science research to do that.
The goal isn’t to push yourself to the limit every session. The goal is to get the most out of the time and energy you invest.
What I help with
Muscle, strength, fat loss
Muscle building
As much work as it takes to progress – and no more. Two to four well-designed sessions a week are plenty for most people.
Strength
You get measurably stronger: we track your loads and build on them cycle by cycle.
Fat loss
Consistent decisions instead of forbidden-food lists and miracle diets – in training and nutrition alike.
What training can give you
You’ll be stronger, fitter and more confident. Everyday movement gets easier, you can live a more active life and stay physically independent for longer. And the change will show in the mirror, too.
How I work
We measure, decide, build
Assessment
In the first session we see where you’re starting from: movement and capacity screening (FMS, FCS), your goals and your training history.
Programme
We work out which exercises, what load, how much work and how often give you the right stimulus.
Tracking
We track your performance continuously and re-test after every training cycle – so you can see where you are, too.
Decision
If something works, we build on it. If it doesn’t, we find out why and change it.
Training
The way that suits you
Personal training
One-to-one at Sun Palace – with an assessment, your own programme and re-testing every training cycle.
Partner training
With your partner or a friend, at a shared time, with loads tailored to each of you.
Small-group training
A small group, with the same professional attention to detail.
Online coaching
Training plan and nutrition plan if you can’t come in – we still track your progress.

Working basics instead of myths
I read the research, check the claims and pass them on in a way that’s useful in practice – without scaremongering. (The posts are in Hungarian.)
How often should you train to build muscle?
It’s not the number of days that matters but your weekly volume. Six to ten sets per muscle group per week are already enough to progress – that fits easily into two to four sessions.

“If you don’t go to failure, why train at all?” – the cult around failure claims far more than the evidence supports.

Read the full post on InstagramCan you lose fat and build muscle at the same time?
Yes – but not everyone. The question is who, under what conditions, and how.
Read the full post on InstagramDoes training more really burn more calories?
Most people think so. Research shows the body’s daily energy expenditure is far more constrained than that.

Read the full post on InstagramCan a two-week holiday undo months of work?
Two weeks on holiday won’t make your muscles disappear – even though so many people worry about it.

No. Just because something can be measured doesn’t mean it’s the most important thing to focus on.

FAQ
Personal training in Budapest – in brief
Where do you train clients in Budapest?
At Sun Palace Fitness & Spa in Óbuda: 1036 Budapest, Nagyszombat utca 1. (District III). The three-storey gym has Cybex machines, TRX and kettlebells, plus a 25-metre swimming pool, sauna and steam room. You can park on Nagyszombat utca and Lajos utca.
Who is personal training for?
For anyone who wants to build muscle, get stronger or lose fat – whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been training for years and your progress has stalled. I tailor the programme to your starting point based on the first assessment.
What happens in the first session?
We start with an assessment: we talk through your goals and your training so far, then do a movement and capacity screen (FMS, FCS). I build your programme from that and we re-test every training cycle.
How many sessions a week do I need?
For most people, 2–4 well-designed sessions a week are enough. For muscle growth, the weekly amount of work matters more than the number of days: 6–10 sets per muscle group per week already drive progress.
Do you help with nutrition too?
Yes. I’m a Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified coach: instead of banned-food lists and miracle diets, we build habits alongside your training that you can keep up long term.
Do you offer partner, small-group or online training?
Yes. Besides one-to-one training I run partner and small-group sessions at Sun Palace, and for those who can’t come in, online coaching: a training plan and a nutrition plan, with your progress tracked.
Are you an English-speaking personal trainer?
Yes – sessions can be in English or Hungarian, from the assessment to the programme.
How much does personal training cost?
It depends on the format (personal, partner, small-group or online) and the number of sessions. Call or write and I’ll give you an exact quote.
How do I get started?
